Overall, a fantastic shopping experience. The agent was super friendly, really knowledgeable, and provided a lot of info. While going through the items, she initially graded some Au dollop bullion at 18, but then switched it to 14 after doing another scratch test. I get that she’s gotta look out for herself and the store, but that last-minute change felt a bit strange to me. I’m no expert, but it seemed like a higher grade based on the luster and feel. I trust her honesty, but once a quote is given, it should stick. That made a $300 difference. Happy New Year! Thanks a bunch, y'all.

A family member recommended Bellevue Rare Coins as a solid spot to sell my jewelry. I made the trip to the Lynnwood branch, only to discover that the estimate for my pieces was way off. They really lowballed me. The appraiser seemed to miss the mark on his evaluation. There's a much better shop near the Commons mall where I can get a lot more than what Lynnwood offered. I'm really let down and won't be returning to any Bellevue Rare Coins in the future.

I contacted Bellevue Rare Coins since they advertised buying and appraising vintage comic books. I mentioned that I had not just one, but a whole collection. They then asked me to set up an appointment to come in when a qualified appraiser would be around.

When I showed up at the Bellevue location as planned, a staff member welcomed me warmly and began examining my books. However, he couldn't show any interest in my collection after going through a detailed list I had prepared. After checking just a handful of books, he asked if I would leave my collection with them for further evaluation. I hesitated at this suggestion and was informed that their comic 'expert' was at the Issaquah store, and I could schedule a meeting with him.

I had already arranged an appointment and felt let down. The saying 'Underpromise and overdeliver' doesn’t seem to apply here.

To be fair, I was treated nicely and with respect. The issue was that the service didn’t meet the expectations set.

The appraisal I got for my jewelry was just around 15-20% of what we actually spent on them. To my surprise, the high-quality Leo Diamonds were significantly undervalued. Basically, the valuation was determined solely by the gold's weight, with no consideration for quality or looks. It felt like a rough experience at a pawn shop.

Zack was super helpful in getting my coins to me in a timely manner. He even went to another store to speed up my order, which I really appreciate. I can't recall the name of the lady at the counter, but she was quite helpful too. Because of this experience, I plan to do more business with this place, especially since the prices for the coins I chose were fair.

Angel's patience and support were truly remarkable. I can only guess she fields the same inquiries over and over throughout the day. Each visit has taught me something new. There's still a ton I need to grasp about purchasing precious metals, and it's great to connect with familiar faces. Steve has assisted me before, and he was incredibly patient, sharing a wealth of knowledge.
